QualityCarsWorld at Fitur: A Sustainable Partner for Luxury Transportation
The thirty-seventh edition of the International Tourism Fair, Fitur, closes its doors today with a record number of 245,000 visitors between professionals and the public, 6% more than last year, according to the organizers’ first estimates.
A total of 9,672 companies that have participated in the event, from 165 countries that develop products for tourism.
Fitur has grown 10% in exhibition space, and has reached 62,494 square meters in 8 Ifema pavilions, 755 exhibitors with their own venue, 6% more than a year ago.
The growing international recognition of Fitur has been reinforced in this edition by the choice of the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) as the place to inaugurate the International Year of Sustainable Tourism for Development, declared by the United Nations.
The Madrid fair thus consolidates its place among the most relevant events in the international ranking, and in particular, for the Ibero-American market, in which this year the presence of Argentina as the main partner of the event has gained special relevance.
In addition, Fitur is the first event on the tourism fair calendar of the year and is the one that sets tourism trends for the rest of the year and, for the directive, the common thread in 2020 is “clearly sustainability as a factor of growth and development , but also as a business factor”.
In his opinion, tourists “prioritarily ask for and choose a destination, hotels and services that work under the premises of sustainability, that is, respectful of the environment, society and the environment”.
